Guard Rails & Road Fences

Guard Rails are installed as precautionary measure for avoid skidding vehicles off the road. Guard Rails are usually installed on hilly areas and on the edge of embankments having height of more than 3 meters. The posts are made of 5mm thick Galvanized iron sheet and the W-Rail has the thickness of 2.7mm. The posts are grouted in to the ground or as per the requirement of the sight. The WRails are bolted. Spacers are installed between the Rail and Posts for added strength.
W-beam guardrails are cost-effective longitudinal highway barriers designed to reduce the severity of run-off-road (ROR) collisions, prevent vehicular impact with roadside objects, and lessen the likelihood of vehicle overturning.
W-beam highway guardrails are the most common crash barrier used on highways due to their high effectiveness and inexpensive production costs.
W-beam highway guardrails have proven highly effective in reducing the frequency and severity of accidents. A recent Transportation Research Board study determined that guardrails are at least 97% effective in reducing injuries & fatalities. Since their inception during the 1960s, W-beam guardrails have protected millions of travelers by containing or deflecting run-off-road vehicles from impact with roadside hazards.
